Atalan and Amu Battle for the 3rd Place Ranking

De MaiwandAtalan and Mawjhai Amu are facing each other for the first time in the history of RAPL to battle for the 3rd place ranking in the 2015 RAPL tournament. Today's game is taking place today at 3:00 PM at the AFF Stadium.

Atalan has advanced to the group stage this year after securing one win, one draw against , and one loss against SimorghAlborz, ToofanHarirod, and Shaheen respectively. Last year Atalan lost 5-4 to Bazan in a thrilling penalty shootout and history was repeated this year when Bazan knocked Atalan out of the  championship rounds 4 -2 in a penalty shoot out.

Similarly, Amu has advanced the group stage this year after securing one win, one draw, and one loss against De AbasinSape, Bazan, and OqabanHindukosh respectively. Amu faced the defending  championsShaheen, in the semifinals and despite playing some great football still lost to Shaheen with an aggregate 3-2 score in favor of Shaheen.

However, one of Amu's best players, forward Masood Qarizada, could make a big difference in today's game He took an injury at the end of the first half in their last game and left Amu's offense handicapped for the rest of their last game. He is returning back today to boost Amu's chances to secure the 3rd place ranking for his side.

The 2015 RAPL championship match will take place tomorrow, October 2nd between ShaheenAsmayee and De SpingharBazans.
