De Abasin Sape Set for a Fresh Start This Season

30 Jun, 2016

Due to a new of wave of insecurity in Gardez capital city of Paktia province, the RAPL Regional Tournament (Green Field) to recruit players from the south of Afghanistan for De Abasin Sape’s preliminary squad was moved to Kabul. Players of Khost, Logar, Paktia, Paktika, Ghazni, and Maidan Wardak provincial football teams travelled to Kabul to take part in this exciting four-day event that took place from 15th June to 18th June in Kabul’s Ghazi Stadium.

Paktia claimed the championship title, while Mohammad Raqib from Khost was awarded Man of the Tournament prize after exhibiting a splendid performance over the four-day tournament.

This year, FIFA and AFC licensed RAPL Coach from Tajikistan, Boir Igamberdiev and high ranking AFF officials have recruited 13 new players for De Abasin Sape.

Although “Sape” means waves, De Abasin Sape has not been able to make too many waves in their first four RAPL seasons.

You can watch RAPL Regional Touranments (Maidan-e-Sabz) on TOLO TV and Lemar TV on Thursdays at 10:30 PM. You can also follow the most recent updates on all RAPL social media platforms and website.
