The Japan Football Association has agreed to enhance the capacity of football in Afghanistan via three key initiatives. In an agreement with the Afghanistan Football Federation, the Japanese will equip A.F.F. Stadium with projector style lights to allow the hosting of nighttime RAPL matches. The J.F.A. will also build a mini football pitch for young players who hope to one day play in the Roshan Afghan Premier League. The third phase of the project is to establish Afghanistan's first ever professional football academy, which will help to raise the competence of Afghan footballers. 
The agreement includes a partnership with NITTAI Professional Football Academy, which will accept young Afghan football players and train them in football and educational curriculum.
The accord also covers higher education scholarship opportunities of National Team players at Nippon Sport Science University. The opportunity will enable players to obtain degrees in Sports Management, Coaching and Sports Medical & Nutrition Aids sections.
