The other rousing evening of the 2018 Rahmani Foundation Afghan Premier League (RFAPL) is underway. Shaheen Asmayee, the capital zone representative and title holder of APL 2017 will go against De Spinghar Bazan today, October 15, 2018, in the Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) stadium.
Shaheen Asmayee played their two group stage games. Accumulating 6 points, the team thrashed Mawjhaye Amu with 2 - 0 result in its first match and played against De Abasin Sape in the next, sealing another 1 – 0 victory.
De Spinghar Bazan lost their first match over 3-2 result to De Abasin Sape and had a 1-1 draw with Mawjhaye Amu. They have accumulated only 1 point in the table and need to win this match to get a chance in order for qualifying to the semifinals.
"Taking into account that we have already paved our ground to play in the semi-finals, but in order to give all our players a chance to play in today’s game, we will try to let our under 19 and under 21 players of the national team. Based on our slogan “Shaheen Asmayee always plays to win”, also for remaining on the top of group table, as well as easing our next game; we are totally ready today and our players will present a good game.” Said Mr. Mujtaba Faiz, the coach of Shaheen Asmayee. He further added: “With one loss and one draw, and so to cheer up their fans and accumulate three points, our opponents will endeavor to win this game but after all, it’s a good team and many of its players are from Kabul. We are hopeful to win this game.”
