The defending RAPL champions, Shaheen Asmayee, are headed to its second straight RAPL championship after handily beating De Spinghar Bazan 3-0 in the second leg of their semifinal matchup. Shaheen Asmayee was in control of this one from start to finish controlling the ball 68% of the match.
De Spinghar Bazan was forced to drop nine of their players back in defensive formation all game long as they attempted to contain Shaheen Asmayee's attack. Contain they did, but De Spinghar Bazan could not stop them, giving up the first goal to Maqsood Hashimi in the 55th minute. De Spinghar Bazan's goalkeeper, Kawash Haidari's view was obstructed by the company of players between he and Hashemi and had never saw the ball coming.
The match continued with Shaheen Asmayee's 1-0 lead until the 79th minute, when De Spinghar Bazan's Jamil Naseeri inadvertently kicked the ball into his own goal to make the score 2-0. At this point the match was well in hand for Shaheen Asmayee. They added a third insurance goal in the 92nd minute off the foot of Amriddin Sharifi. Sharifi received a pass from Hashmatullah Barakzai in the box and shot the ball home past Kawash Haidari.
Shaheen Asmayee will face Oqaban Hindukosh on October 3rd, 2014 to determine the 2014 RAPL champion. Shaheen Asmayee lost its group play match to Oqaban Hindukosh earlier this month. Shaheen Asmayee was missing many of its top players for that game, who were in Korea, representing Afghanistan in the Asian Games.
