RAPL 2015 Regional Tournaments: Mawjhai Amu

In the fourth year of Roshan Afghanistan Premier League (RAPL), it is the exciting season of regional tournaments for selecting top 26 players for each of the eight teams that will compete in the main event.
Mawjhai Amu represents Badakhshan, Kunduz, Takhar, and Baghlan provinces in RAPL. The regional tournament for selecting Mawjhai Amu players took place in Kunduz during May 19th to May 21st.
This tournament consisted of eight thrilling games among football teams from the four provinces. The team from Baghlan came on the top by winning all three of its matches and scoring a total of five goals.
Hasan Rajabov, international coach of the team selected the top players and the best player of the tournament with the help of Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) staff. Hedaiautllah Ahmadi from Kunduz was selected as the best player of the tournament.
In 2014, Mawjahi Amu defeated De Abasin Sape to record their first win ever. Following their last year’s breakthrough, they are expected to take further steps this year.
This year’s regional tournaments have been received well by local communities across Afghanistan and this one was no exception.
